TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. About Transcend Studio
Transcend Studio is an independent creative music studio operated by Naser in the United Kingdom.

Transcend Studio provides a range of creative and educational services, which may include music learning, mentoring, songwriting, composition, performance development, music production, recording, creative consultations and other related services.
Different services may have different booking requirements, eligibility criteria, pricing and additional terms. Where a service is subject to separate terms or an individual agreement, those terms will apply alongside these Terms & Conditions.

2. Booking & Payment

Bookings must be completed through the booking methods made available by Transcend Studio.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at the time of purchase. Transcend Studio does not accept cash payments for standard bookings.

A booking is confirmed once payment has been completed and confirmation has been issued.
Current prices, package options and availability are displayed on the Transcend Studio website or booking system and may be updated from time to time.

3. Services, Sessions & Packages

The duration, format and content of a service will depend on the service booked.
Where a mentoring or learning session is described as 50 minutes, this means a maximum teaching or mentoring time of 50 minutes. Sessions cannot normally be split, extended, or carried forward due to late arrival.
Services may be delivered:

-
in person at the Transcend Studio premises; or
-
online using Google Meet or another video-conferencing platform designated by Transcend Studio.
Transcend Studio may introduce, change or discontinue services, formats or availability where reasonably necessary.

4. Package & Credit Validity

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, mentoring bookings and studio credits are valid for six months from the date of purchase.

Unused credits automatically expire at the end of the applicable validity period.

An extension may be considered where the learner or client has discussed the circumstances with Transcend Studio in advance, and the extension has been expressly authorised.

An extension should not be assumed unless it has been confirmed by Transcend Studio.

Once a credit has expired, it is no longer available for booking unless an authorised exception has been agreed.

5. Credit Transfers
Unused mentoring bookings or studio credits may, at the discretion of Transcend Studio, be transferred to another person where the request has been discussed and authorised in advance.

A transfer may be permitted to an eligible friend or family member where the service or package is suitable for the receiving person.
Transcend Studio may decline a transfer where the service, package, age requirements, experience level or other circumstances make the transfer unsuitable.

Once an approved transfer has been completed, the original holder no longer has entitlement to the transferred credits.
Credits cannot be sold or transferred without prior authorisation.

6. Learners & Eligibility
Transcend Studio welcomes learners with different levels of experience, interests and creative goals.
Eligibility may vary depending on the service being booked.

Where a service has specific age, experience, ability or other requirements, these will be communicated as part of the relevant service information or booking process.

Transcend Studio aims to provide an inclusive and respectful learning environment and welcomes learners from different backgrounds.

Where additional support or reasonable adjustments may be helpful, learners or their parent/guardian are encouraged to discuss this with Transcend Studio in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be considered.

7. Parents & Guardians
For learners under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be involved in the initial registration and booking process and provide any required consent.

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that the information provided during registration and booking is accurate and up to date.
A parent or guardian may communicate with Transcend Studio regarding the learner's bookings, attendance and general arrangements.
Parents or guardians may use the designated reading/waiting area while a learner is attending a session.
Parents, guardians, partners or other accompanying adults should not normally remain inside the teaching or studio space during a session unless their presence is reasonably required to support the learner.

This may include situations involving additional support needs or accessibility requirements.

8. Arrival, Attendance & Studio Use
Learners should arrive on time and no more than five minutes before their scheduled session.
Arriving earlier than this may not be possible because another session may be taking place.

If a learner arrives late, the session will normally still finish at its scheduled time, and the learner will lose the corresponding amount of session time.
If a learner does not attend a booked session without an approved arrangement, the applicable session or credit may be deducted in accordance with the Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Learners and accompanying adults are expected to treat the studio, equipment, staff and other people respectfully.
Any available parking or waiting arrangements must be used in accordance with the instructions provided by Transcend Studio.

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations and rescheduling are governed by the separate Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
That policy explains the applicable notice periods, credits, no-shows, late cancellations, refunds and other booking-related arrangements.

Where there is a conflict between these general Terms & Conditions and the specific Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy, the more specific booking terms will apply to the relevant booking, subject to applicable consumer rights.

10. Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.
The availability of a refund may depend on the type of service purchased, whether a service has been booked or started, and the circumstances of the request.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Communication
Transcend Studio may communicate with learners and clients through email, the Transcend Studio booking system/app, WhatsApp Business and other communication channels used to deliver its services.

WhatsApp Business may be used as an optional, faster method of communication.
For learners under 18, communication through WhatsApp must be arranged with appropriate parent or guardian involvement and consent.
Important booking, payment, cancellation or service information may still be communicated through the official email or booking system even where WhatsApp is also used.

12. Learning & Progress Tools
Transcend Studio may use third-party tools such as Asana as part of its learning and mentoring process.
Asana may be used for activities including:

-
homework and practice tasks;
-
lesson preparation;
-
progress tracking;
-
learning resources;
-
feedback; and
-
communication relating to the learner's development.

Where these tools are part of the relevant learning service, learners may be required to create or use an account in order to participate fully in the learning process.

The handling of personal information through these services is explained in the Transcend Studio Privacy Policy.

13. Learner Responsibilities
Learners are expected to:

-
provide accurate information when registering or booking;
-
attend sessions on time and be prepared to participate;
-
follow reasonable instructions relating to learning, studio use and safety;
-
treat other learners, staff and collaborators respectfully;
-
take reasonable care of studio equipment and property; and
-
keep their account and login information secure.

Transcend Studio reserves the right to take reasonable action where behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, abusive or otherwise inappropriate.

14. Creative Work & Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, learners retain ownership of their original creative work.
Transcend Studio does not automatically acquire ownership of a learner's songs, compositions, lyrics, recordings or other original creative material simply because that material is developed during a learning or mentoring session.

Separate written agreements may apply to professional creative services, including:

-
music production;
-
recording and engineering;
-
songwriting or co-writing;
-
publishing;
-
master recordings;
-
production credits;
-
collaborations;
-
licensing; or
-
other commercial creative arrangements.

Where such an agreement exists, its specific terms will govern the relevant work.

15. Photography, Video & Audio Recording
Photography, video or audio recording may take place at Transcend Studio for learning documentation, promotional content, social media, website content, YouTube or other creative and marketing purposes.
Where identifiable individuals are to be used in promotional or public-facing material, appropriate permission or consent will be obtained separately.
For learners under 18, the appropriate parent or guardian consent will be required where applicable.
The Transcend Studio Media & Recording Consent process provides further information about these permissions.

16. Online Sessions & Technical Issues
Where a service is delivered online, the learner is responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and environment in which to participate.
Transcend Studio will make reasonable efforts to resolve technical problems affecting an online session.
Where a significant technical problem prevents a session from being delivered properly, Transcend Studio may arrange an appropriate alternative or adjustment where reasonably possible.

17. Changes to These Terms
Transcend Studio may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to its services, systems, business practices or legal requirements.
The current version will be published on the Transcend Studio website with an updated Last Updated date.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued under applicable law or an existing agreement.

18. Complaints
Transcend Studio aims to resolve concerns directly and fairly.
If you have a complaint about a service, booking or experience, please contact Transcend Studio using the official contact details provided on the website.
Where appropriate, you may be asked to provide relevant information so that the matter can be reviewed and resolved.

19. Circumstances Beyond Our Reasonable Control
Transcend Studio will not be responsible for delays or inability to provide a service caused by circumstances reasonably outside its control, including serious illness, emergencies, significant technical failures, disruption to utilities or premises, or other unforeseen
circumstances.
Where this occurs, Transcend Studio will make reasonable efforts to communicate with affected learners or clients and arrange an appropriate alternative where possible.

20. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable UK law and the rights available to the relevant parties.
